Construction could start as soon as next month on a commuter rail line between Denton and Dallas counties.

The "A-Train" project, which is estimated to cost $314 million, could launch in December of 2010 and run southeast into Carrollton with stops in Lewisville and Highland Village.

The trip will be accessible to DART's future Green Line -- and a typical run from Denton into downtown Dallas is estimated at 70 minutes.

Funding for the project has been approved by sales tax increases in the cities that will have a station.
