Martinez Lane at Highway 78 in Wylie will be closed until 4 p.m. Wednesday due to a major gas leak, according to Wylie Fire Rescue.[[379956551,c]]
The gas leak in the area occurred after a three inch gas line was hit by a contractor the morning of May 18, officials said.
Wylie Fire Rescue said there were no evacuations of the intersection, but they urge drivers to avoid the area if possible.
A gas company is currently on the way to the site.
