Reckless driving is being blamed for a crash along Interstate 45 in downtown Dallas Tuesday morning.

Police said the driver cut off the driver of a gravel truck, causing the truck to swerve and crash into a concrete barrier near Commerce Street shortly before 4 a.m.

The crash busted a hole in the truck's tank, causing diesel fuel to spill over the roadway.

The driver of the car did not stop after the crash.

The road was closed for a short time while the scene was cleared.
