SH 121-360 Interchange Project to Break Ground

A project to connect Texas 114, Texas 121 and Texas 360 is scheduled to break ground Tuesday morning.

The City of Grapevine, the Texas Department of Transportation and NorthGate Constructors will host a groundbreaking on the SH 121/360 Interchange project at 9:30 a.m.

The $61 million project will add connectors for the three state highways that will minimize weaving, reduce congestion and improve safety in the area.

"As someone who drives these roads almost every day, I know how critical this interchange is to mobility in our Metroplex," Sen. Jane Nelson said. "We were able to make significant progress in transportation funding last session, and projects like this one will go a long way toward reducing congestion in our region."

The project is the first of several congestion relief projects funded by Gov. Greg Abbott and the Texas Legislature. Construction on four more projects will begin within the next year on Texas 199, East Loop 820 and Interstate 35E.
