SH 360 Through Fort Worth May Be Renamed

A portion of state Highway 360 in Fort Worth could soon be named after a historic North Texan that brought some thrills to the area.

A two-mile section of the highway, south of state Highway 183 to the Arlington city limits, would be renamed the Angus G Wynne, Jr. Freeway.

Wynne is the man who originally developed Six Flags Over Texas.

The portion of SH-360 that runs through Arlington is already named after him, but now the Fort Worth City Council wants to do the same.

The City Council is expected to vote on the measure on Tuesday.
