Chase Through Fort Worth, Arlington & Grand Prairie Ends

Fort Worth police were involved in a chase that has moved into Arlington and Grand Prairie and appeared to end as quickly as it started Tuesday.

Fort Worth police say the person driving the Humvee they were pursuing was wanted for traffic violations.

The pursuit was discontinued in the interest of public safety according to Fort Worth police.

Fort Worth police used a tactical maneuver to end an hours-long pursuit along eastbound I-30 near Ballpark Way in Arlington. The driver was taken into custody and transported from the scene by medics.

You may remember on May 27, Fort Worth SWAT ended a police chase in Arlington with a SWAT BearCat slamming into the side of the car they were pursuing.

The chase lasted more than two hours and wound through Fort Worth and Arlington on highways and side streets.

A two-hour police chase ended in a violent crash with Fort Worth SWAT on Interstate 30 in Arlington, Texas.

Joe Gonzales, 42, was faced charges of evading arrest and felony possession of a controlled substance.
