Long-Term Closure of Eastbound I-30 Lamar Exit Starts May 20

The Eastbound I-30 exit to Lamar Street (exit 45B) will be closed starting Friday night until Fall 2016 for roadway reconstruction as part of the Dallas Horseshoe Project.[[379963551,c]]

The Dallas Horseshoe project is a $709 million project that began in April 2013 to improve the traffic flow throughout downtown Dallas.Once completed in Summer 2017, drivers should experience improved safety and mobility through the downtown area. The project got it's name from the U shape of the roads.

The closure to exit 45B begins at 9 p.m. on May 20. Officials say throughout the I-30 closure, drivers may take the next available exits to Cadiz Street and Griffin Street.
