Interstate 35E was shut down in Waxahachie Monday morning due to a fiery crash involving an 18-wheeler. [[420214153,C]]
Police said the 18-wheeler crashed on southbound I-35E near U.S. 287 at about 12:45 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
Texas Department of Transportation officials said they let the fire burn out on its own, resulting in the prolonged closures of southbound I-35E and the U.S. 287 servce road.
U.S. 287 and I-35 have since been reopened.
No further details have been released.
