I-35 North of Denton Reopens After Multi-Vehicle Crash

Two minor injuries reported in multi-vehicle crash

Southbound Interstate 35 north of Denton is moving once again after a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning.

The crash took place shortly before 11 a.m. as a cold front pushed into North Texas.  Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety said it appeared that a driver slowed down due to wind and rain, causing the chain-reaction crash near I-35 and Rector Road.

In all, nine vehicles were involved in the crash including two recreational vehicles.

The crash closed the southbound lanes of I-35 until about 1 p.m.

Two people were transported to area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries.
