Texas 121 Reopened After Wrong-Way, Head-On Collision: Haltom City Police

All lanes of Texas 121 have been reopened in Haltom City after a wreck involving a wrong-way driver shut it down for hours Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

Haltom City Police Department spokesman Cpl. Joe Hackfield said a person driving north on southbound Texas 121 crashed into another vehicle near Minnis Drive at about 5 a.m.

Both drivers were taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, Hackfield said. The wrong-way driver was listed in serious condition. The other driver suffered injuries that were not considered life threatening.

There is no word yet why the driver was was headed the wrong way on the freeway.

All lanes of Texas 121 were closed until just before 8 a.m.
