Several westbound lanes of Interstate 20 were closed early Thursday morning due to a fatal crash in southeast Arlington.
NBC 5 has learned a driver collided with an abandoned vehicle on the side of the road at about 2:30 a.m. and was killed at the scene east of Collins Boulevard.
The driver's name has not been released. Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
No other injuries have been reported and no other details have been confirmed by police.
At least one lane of westbound I-20 remains closed while officials clear the crash scene. Drivers are urged to use caution in the area.
