A cut gas line in Addison has stalled traffic along the 15000 block of Midway Road.
Firefighters with the Addison Fire Department and crews from Atmos Energy are at the scene near the intersections of Midway and Arapaho roads.
Officials said the break occurred due to construction along the roadway.
Workers in a nearby one-story office building have been evacuated as a precaution.
Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes and avoid the area.
