Toddler Killed, Woman Injured in Crash That Shut Down Texas 360 in Arlington

Driver of a pickup involved in the crash cooperating with police, officials say

A toddler was killed and his mother was injured in a crash that shut down Texas 360 in Arlington Monday morning, police said.

Crash investigators said a pickup truck collided with a stalled Honda Accord on southbound Texas 360 near Pioneer Parkway at about 5 a.m.

Investigators said officers found the woman outside the Accord and a young boy in a car seat in the back of the car.

Police said the woman and child were transported to hospitals. The child, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office as 15-month-old David Aruwajoye, was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The boy's mother remains hospitalized.

The pickup truck driver was not injured and is cooperating with investigators, according to police.

All southbound lanes of Texas 360 were closed until just after 9 a.m.
