Two of the westbound lanes of the George H.W. Bush Turnpike have reopened near Preston Road in Plano after a multi-vehicle crash closed the highway Thursday morning.
Trooper Lonny Haschel, with the Texas Department of Public Safety, said the driver of the black truck was speeding when he collided with the back of the tractor-trailer and rolled over east of the Preston Road overpass.
The driver of the pickup was transported to an area hospital by CareFlite in an unknown condition. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
No other injuries have been reported.
While the roadway was closed, drivers were diverted at Coit Road. The roadway reopened two of the three lanes shortly after 1 p.m. The far left lane will remain closed while crews remove the last of the crash debris.
