All southbound lanes of Interstate 35E at Royal Lane in Dallas have reopened after they were closed for hours due to a crash.

Police said a double-trailer truck collided with at least two other vehicles Tuesday at about 4 p.m. It appears one of those vehicles caught fire.

The southbound lanes of I-35E were shut down for hours, but have since reopened.

Officials said one person was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition.

Traffic was backed-up for several miles beyond Interstate 635.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
