Big-Rig Crash Closes Interstate 20 in Grand Prairie

A crash involving an 18-wheeler shut down westbound lanes of Interstate 20 in Grand Prairie Friday morning.

It happened just under the Lake Ridge Parkway overpass shortly before 3 a.m.

According to police, the truck was traveling west when it struck the center median and overturned. The crash sent food debris across both sides of the interstate.

The driver of the semi suffered a back injury, police said. No one else was hurt.

The closure was expected to last well into Friday morning.

Westbound I-20 traffic should exit north on Belt Line Road to Texas 303 west. From there, take southbound Texas 161 back to I-20.
