Emergency crews worked to free four people trapped in a car following an early morning crash.
Four people were injured after a car was pinned underneath an 18-wheeler Monday morning.
MedStar medical personnel said one person with serious injuries and three people with minor injuries were extracted from the car and taken to area hospitals.
All southbound lanes of Interstate 35W at Meacham Boulevard were closed during portions of the extraction.
Fort Worth police said the crash scene was cleared by 7:52 a.m., but that the backup for drivers stretched back six miles at that time.
Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes around the area. Emergency crews said they expect the lanes to be shut down for some time.
