Strategically placed next to Metropark and across from Ed Hardy, the Silver Dagger clothing boutique opened at NorthPark Center just about one week ago. We’re told this is the label’s second retail location (the first is in Las Vegas). A third reportedly opened in the Houston Galleria a few days ago, but is not yet listed on the shopping center’s website.
Offering a limited selection of casual clothing for men and women, heavy on the embellished tees and track suits in black and white, Silver Dagger’s prices run high. A guys’ leather button-down, for example, decorated with a rhinestone phoenix, will run you $395. Ladies’ tanks bedazzled with crowns and stars and such go for around $60. All clothing is Silver Dagger brand, and denim and jewelry are also available.
According to the company website, Silver Dagger is favored by many celebrities. Proudly displayed are pictures of Jamie Foxx in a screen-printed tee and golfer Rory Sabbatini in a giant rhinestone skull belt buckle. Slash, Busta Rhymes, and Montana Tucker apparently also love the line.
We can’t say how it will fare here in Dallas. The aforementioned Ed Hardy, for example, is still enjoying quite a run. What we can say for sure, though, is that The Situation has a great place to shop if he hits up Big D on his book tour.
