Shop Club Monaco with Sea of Shoes

Have you joined the club yet? Club Monaco, that is. To say the casually cool retailer has raised its game is an understatement, and their new location in Dallas' West Village arrived with a sartorial splash during its grand opening last night.

Spotted in store: imported Morrocan totes and Spanish espadrilles, stunning lace tops and shorts, and a well-curated selection of luxury vintage items. But the real style stars of the evening were hosts Jane and Judy Aldridge, creators of Sea of Shoes and Atlantis Home, respectively. For the uninitiated, the Aldridge girls are fashion royalty; you may have seen them in the pages of Vogue or tried on pieces from their collaborative collections for sought after labels.

If you're already a Sea of Shoes junkie like many trendsetters, we've got some inside scoop for you -  Jane is set to become a shady lady this week as she jets to California to shoot stylish sunglasss with an unidentified fashion house. And since we know you're dying to find what shoes she was sporting, she wore her recently posted Barbara Bui booties that she snapped up on Yoox.com.

The Aldridges played celebrity stylists for two lucky members of the giddy crowd, and we got a peek at their top picks on racks at Club Monaco now. In an effort at full disclosure, getting a look at the pieces they chose was fairly easy, since I was one of the fortunate fans styled by the mother-daughter co-hosts during the event.

What items made the cut?  Judy gravitated toward luxe basics like creamy silk blouses and skinny cargos, and Jane selected full, printed silk pants and a tailored, chambray blazer. We adored their choices and made a few of our own as well, including Club Monaco's wide range of white, gauzy dresses and shorts.

Check out all of our favorites in the gallery, and keep up with Club Monaco via their blog or social media outlets. If you aren't already following Jane's fashion adventures on her website, Sea of Shoes, we suggest you do so immediately, and don't miss Judy's amazing take on crafting your abode via her blog, Atlantis Home.

Insider's tip: the recently opened online shopping division of the Aldridge's empire, Atlantis Dry Goods, features covetable vintage pieces hand-picked by the duo; we can't get enough of the great items available from Atlantis.
