Hunt and Gather

Vintage and retro treasure hunting at Zola's, Buffalo Exchange and Gratitude

WEARABLE ART:  Zola’s Everyday Vintage is a top-notch retro shopping spot.  Named for the owners’ grandmother, a fun-lovin’ 20’s firecracker, Zola’s is full of gems like the gold 1970’s Diane Von Furstenberg shirtdress we found on a recent visit.  Head to 414 N. Bishop Ave. to see what’s in store at Zola’s right now.

FAIR TRADE:  Buffalo Exchange buys, sells and trades clothes, shoes, and accessories, making it an eco- and wallet-friendly place to shop.  But truth be told, we love it most for the fact that it’s always a treasure hunt.  From designer shoes to menswear, every time you go, you’ll find tons of new merchandise.  …Well, new to you, anyway.  Visit Buffalo Exchange at 3424 Greenville Ave.

GIVE THANKS:  Last, but certainly not least, Gratitude is positively packed with vintage clothes, new and classic shoes, quirky home décor and accessories.  Budget at least an hour for a trip to this spot, where we picked up a killer pair of animal-print kitten heels and a leather belt (each just $10) last time we shopped.  Gratitude is located at 3613 Fairmount St. (look for the feather boas).
