Maria's Closet also stocks gently-used handbags and belts, in addition to a limited selection of clothing.
Hiding in plain sight, just outside the main drag of the Bishop Arts District, Maria’s Closet is a small jewel filled with resale clothing, shoes, and accessories. The selection is limited, but all items are in good condition and from recent seasons.
We stopped in yesterday, and everyone at Maria’s was friendly and welcoming, despite the fact that they were dealing with water damage as a result of Wednesday’s storms. Thankfully, the merchandise stayed high and dry.
Most impressive is the boutique's collection of shoes. About three dozen or so pairs were on display, in varying sizes. All were nearly new and most carried designer labels. The collage above includes four of our favorite finds. Clockwise, from top left: Coach logo platforms, $65; Valentino mules with mother of pearl floral detail, $45; Via Spiga ankle-strap peep toe heels, $30; Isaac Mizrahi kitten heels, $14.
For the purposes of comparison, a new Coach heel in a similar style currently sells for $188. Similar Valentino looks start at upwards of $500.
Maria’s Closet, 420 Davis St., Suite B, Dallas. Open Wednesday through Saturday at 11 A.M.
