The early birds got the savings in Grapevine Black Friday morning. The Sam’s Club off state Highway 114 opened at 5 a.m. to a line of more than 200 people wrapped around the building.

The retailer had 50 items marked down for Black Friday. Most of the items were electronics and jewelry. We found one group of women who were on their second annual Black Friday shopping spree, and they said this year they decided to make it a fun family-bonding event.

"We had a good time (last year) and said we would do it again so we decided to this year and for something different we went and got matching pajamas,” said shopper Debby Gibby.

Sam’s Club, like many retailers, has extended their hours through the holiday season. They’ll be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 to 7 Sundays.
