MUSICAL FROCKS:  Visit ModCloth for flirty little numbers Molly Ringwald would have loved.  Dresses like Spot Through the Heart, Electric Boogaloo and Dexy’s Midnight Stunner are ready and waiting to go-go at this online indie boutique.  And with many priced well below the $100 mark, you’ll have plenty left over for a hot pair of red leather driving gloves or a cute little cassette tape coin purse.  Just skip the banana clip, ‘kay?

JETT PROPELLED:  Channel the queen of the Blackhearts when you slip into the Paint Strokes tee from Alloy ($19.90).  In black, hot pink and electric blue, it’s retro-chic without veering into Valley Girl territory.  Also love the splatter print, rainbow and feather motifs – throw on a pair of skinny jeans and call it a day.

TOUGH LOVE:  80’s accessories were all about edge – think heavy metal and dangling daggers.  Forever 21 has plenty of baubles that capture the pearls-and-pavement vibe of early Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and pretty much any girl who hung out with Prince.  Start slow with the Concave Feather Earrings ($3.80) and the Mia Faceted Jewel Bracelet ($7.80).  When you’re ready to go full-on Sheena Easton, bust out the Mixed Chain Necklace ($17.80) and maybe one of these things, too.
