Hey Guys, Are You Nailicious?

You can have a mani or pedi practically anywhere, but you can only get truly Nailicious at their fabulous salon in Dallas' Uptown. They're expanding their current Oak Lawn location, and we got a sneak peek at the new, sleek space during their soft opening this weekend.

When Nailicious decided to double in size, they had one thing in mind -- their male customers. In contrast to the glittery, glamorous decor of the original space, the new area features dark leather lounge chairs, big screens, beer, and music picked just for the boys. It's so cozy and cool; the girls just might get jealous.

"It's really perfect now! We can cater to our male clients in the way we want to, and we also -- with the expansion -- can now host private events by closing off one side of the salon just for party guests," said Nailicious owner and F.I.T. grad Catherine Tuana Vo.

Their services are getting an upgrade, too. Beyond the traditional treatments for hands and feet, they'll now offer massages and facials as new rooms dedicated to those specialties have been added during the expansion. Nailicious will also continue offering threading and waxing; the brave ask for the "J. Lo."

And did we mention the eclectic handbags and jewelry sold in store? Vo's fashionable background is evident in the budget-friendly, unique selection. Our favorites are the pewter, ostrich-skin clutch; the large, leather cuff bracelets; and the oversized deco earrings. The items mentioned are yours for a steal -- each one is between $15 and $25 -- and other merchandise is similarly priced.

When Vo's not pampering customers, you can find her at one of her favorite Dallas restaurants -- Toulouse, Oishii, and Salum make the list -- or shopping at Neiman Marcus Last Call and Sak's Off Fifth.

"I love the great clothes for a better price; my idea of shopping heaven," Vo said of her fav destinations. We can't wait to see what she wears to Nailicous' official grand opening in November.

Go treat yourself to a spa day; the mani/pedi special starts at $40. See their website for a full menu of services, pricing, and who to call to book your Nailicious party. They're open seven days a week; weekdays from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
