Allie-Coosh to Fete New Fashion-Forward Collection

Known for catering to a long-established clientele seeking dressed-up yet conservative wardrobe elements, Snider Plaza shop Allie-Coosh is expanding its custom-made collection.

Dallasite Paulette Martsolf, designer of all things Allie-Coosh, creates one-of-a-kind dresses and separates for her customers, but it's her jewelry that will be taking center stage during her upcoming fashion show.

Incorporating elements like dinosaur bones, amber, and even feathers, Allie-Coosh jewels are collectibly cool. The line is inspired by Martsolf's paleontologist husband as well as her own travels, and her Spring collection is on-trend for this season's gypset aesthetic.

Each Allie-Coosh original is designed in Martsolf's workroom, and it's no surprise that a boutique famous for its custom dyed textiles and hand-made gowns has turned out a jewelry line that represents an equally meticulous amount of detail. Our current favorite is the loosely linked, long necklace adorned with feathers  and rough-hewn beads; it's the perfect way to dress up a white tee for summer.

Pick out a piece of your own at Allie-Coosh's stylish soiree on May 19 from 5 to 8 p.m., 6726 Snider Plaza. Benefiting The Bridge Breast Network, custom wig boutique Mimi's Wig will be on hand to loan party guests a new hairstyle to "play" with during the event, which includes an informal runway show to entertain you while you sip and shop.
