Top Twenty Dallas County "Tax Lords"

advertisement

Our favorite Dallas Dirt digger Candy Evans pulled a list of the top twenty residental "tax lords" -- i.e. the rich guys/gals that hold enough property around Dallas County to pay massive real estate taxes.

Some of the list is no surprise: Tom Hicks, H. Ross Perot, Harlan Crow -- but did you know the late Gerald Ford holds a higher property value than Mark Cuban or Jerry Jones?

To be fair, this is 2008 market value for Dallas County properties only, so folks like Perot may be way higher on the list if all of DFW was taken into account.

Take a look at the full list on D Magazine's Dallas Dirt blog.
