The Adaptable Wyly Theater's Reconfiguration is Pretty Rad

We've all heard the hype, but nothing wows quite like a remarkable time lapse video of the configuration of the new Dee & Charles Wyly Theatre.

The designers behind the Wyly, Theater Projects Consultants, constructed a fully adaptable venue for "versatile, multiform space that can be configured for up to 575 seats in proscenium, thrust, traverse, and flat floor arrangements."  A picture is worth a thousand words, however, so the time lapse video depicting the test run of the theater's capabilities says it all.  Walls go up, stages go underground, floors rotate and chairs move around to assemble what looks like a venue for excitement.

Nearly 75,000 people were reported to be out at the PAC's free day on Sunday, with lines longest outside the Borg Cube Wyly. Looks pretty obvious why everyone wanted a peek inside.
