DFW Home Sales Drop 27% in January

Those crashing sounds you're hearing? It's the inevitable drop in DFW home sales due to the terrible economy.

In January, pre-owned home sales dropped 27%, and condos sales dropped further -- 46% off from January 2007.

Even if you could get someone to buy your home, it wouldn't be worth as much. North Texas Real Estate Information Systems and Texas A&M University’s Real Estate Center released stats that show a 6% drop in medium home sales prices, while condos dropped by 16%.

The Dallas Morning News says about 10,000 homes joined the market last month, while only 3,399 homes were actually sold last month.
