For the 11th-straight month, foreclosures are down in DFW.

Foreclosure numbers are painting a positive picture of the North Texas economy.

Home foreclosures are down 26 percent compared to January of 2011 when just over 4,000 homes in the Metroplex were listed as foreclosures.

The drop marks the 11th-straight month where less than 5,500 homes were listed in foreclosure.

The largest drops occurred in Dallas County, followed by Collin, Denton and then Tarrant counties.
