There may be one bargain this holiday season. The cost of those pre-prepared turkey dinners that you pick up from the store seems to be about the same as last year.
Here are some examples from the Dallas-Ft. Worth area:
Kroger's dinner is the same price as last year at $39.99 with a Kroger Plus Card. It includes turkey for 6 to 8 people, one side dish, cornbread dressing, gravy, dinner rolls, and pumpkin pie.
At Boston Market this year you can buy your dinner for 12 people, including turkey, mashed potatoes, two vegetables, gravy and cornbread. Price? $62.99.
And at Whole Foods, Thanksgiving dinner wil cost you $79.99 for 6 to 8 people. You'll get turkey, red-skinned mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberry relish.
