Free Subs Aim to Sink Kids Cancer

It seems $5 footlongs were not enough of a deal. Cops are looking for an accused Subway robber.

Jersey Mike’s Subs shop offers a suggestion for today’s lunch or dinner.

Find the closest of the chain’s 14 locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, go there, order any sub sandwich from the menu, make a donation — even a $1 donation — to the Wipe Out Kids' Cancer fundraiser, and receive that sub at no cost except for the donation.

Pretty sweet deal for an even better cause.

Today’s offer serves as the grand finale to the restaurant’s month-long benefit campaign to help fund research toward finding a cure or preventive for children’s cancer.

There, now the daily office question of, “What are we going to do for lunch today?” has an answer. You’re on your own for tomorrow, though.

Seriously, you need to eat lunch so it might as well benefit a worthy cause. Those Tex-Mex leftovers will keep overnight in the office ‘fridge.

Well, as long as Donnie, that lunch-stealing mooch from accounting, doesn’t find them.
