Royal Sixty Restaurant Ready to Rule

Lunch fit for a king? We'll see.

A new Colonial French restaurant called Royal Sixty has opened for lunch in the Design District.

Courtesy of Dallas caterer Wendy Krispin, it’s located where Margaux’s used to serve Cajun fare inside the International on Turtle Creek building.

For people who aren’t sure what Colonial French cuisine is, judging from the menu; Royal Sixty’s take on it is a hodgepodge of French/American dishes such as: sweet potato fries, chicken and waffles, Brie and wild mushroom queso, spinach pie, French dip sandwich and grilled spicy/sweet bacon pimento cheese sammies on pumpernickel bread.

Confusing concept? Maybe. Sounds tasty, though.
