Quaker Steak & Lube Comes to Texas

Restaurant to bring jobs, wings to Carrolton

Quaker Steak & Lube may sound like an odd name for a restaurant, but they’re wings are no laughing matter.

The Pennsylvania-based chain plans to open three restaurants in North Texas in the coming months, starting with Carrolton.

A job fair will be held this weekend for service-industry folks looking for an interesting work environment.

The company plans to hire 130 Texans.

So just where does the name come from? The restaurant has an overall motor theme, with “lube” being a nod to the nickname of their famous sauces.
