Primebar is a Prime Spot in Uptown

Uptown Dallas has a cool new spot

Primebar Dallas is a "contemporary American restaurant and ale house" with a prime location in Uptown on Cedar Springs near the corner of Routh. It manages to blend in the Uptown scene of beautiful people and rich decor along with a place that you can hang out with your friends and watch a game.

Upon arrival, there is a bar area to the right that backs up to the patio and the main restaurant with a bar -- and flat screens showing sports -- in the center. Should you be in need of a nice place with a cool atmosphere to take a date while still glancing at the score of the game, this is your spot.

The seemingly never-ending selection of drafts includes Guinness as well as Texas selections Rahr Ugly Pug, Saint Arnold Lawnmower and Ziegenbock. Primebar also offers specialty cocktails such as Tito's Texas Tea, Eden Mojito, Fire & Ice, ODB and the Primebar Palmer.

The starters on the menu range from calamari to BBQ chicken flat-bread and warm pretzel sticks. Sandwiches include the Primebar burger, turkey burger and California chicken club. Other items of note include beer-battered fish & chips, pork tacos, lemon chicken and the rib-eye that is served with roasted red pepper butter. There is also a late-night menu and Sunday brunch.

Weekly events include "1/2 price Wine Bottle Night" on Tuesdays from 5:00 to 11:00, $5 Burger Night Wednesdays from 5:00 to Midnight, and "Girls Night Out" Thursdays at 8:00 featuring $4 martinis and $3 Texas Pints all day every Sunday.
