Sometimes a calorie-laden trip down memory lane is all a person needs to feel better.
In celebration of its 55th anniversary, Norma's Cafe is rolling back its prices to the 1950s.
The Dallas dining hot spot is offering comfort food for $1.79 until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
For less than $2, you can chow down on Texas-style chicken fried steak, meatloaf or chicken and dressing with fresh green beans and homemade mashed potatoes on the side. (Don't forget about Norma's Mile-High Cream Pie for dessert.)
Beware if you do decide to fill up, five years ago hundreds stood in line all day and they ran out of food twice.
This year, with two locations, there should be an even bigger turnout.
