Amici Signature Italian restaurant in Carrollton was damaged in a two-alarm fire around 7:45 Wednesday morning.

According to fire officials, the blaze started on the second floor of a older builder overlooking the historic downtown Carrollton square.

Officials said a two-story fire wall installed in Amici helped stop the fire from damaging the property further.

No injures were reported in the fire, and the damage was mostly contained to the Amici property. Some adjacent buildings had minor water damage, according to fire officials at the scene.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire.
