You don't have to drive to Dallas to eat at eatZi's. The gourmet market and bakery opened a new store in Grapevine this week.
EatZi's is known for its fresh, prepared meals made daily on site as well as an impressive selection of 340 varieties of beer and wine from around the world.
The new Grapevine store on State Highway 114 brings 180 new jobs to the area. EatZi's has two stores in Dallas, the Grapevine location is its third.
"We are ecstatic to be here," said Adam Romo, CEO of eatZi's Thursday. "Grapevine is a city with a great food culture and people who enthusiastic about eating great food, great wines, and we couldn't be happier to be here."
So where's the next eatZi's going to be? Romo says he expects the fourth location at in West Plano Parker Road and the Dallas NorthTollway to open in a year and a half, that location has been on the back burner for the last three years. Romo also says he and his team have been looking at sites all around the metroplex. An eatZi's rep tells NBC 5 Fort Worth is definitely on their radar.
Kent West will be the executive chef at the Grapevine location. West was executive chef at The Mansion on Turtle Creek under Dean Fearing and sous chef under Kent Rathbun and George Brown at The Landmark inside the Melrose Hotel before joining eatZi's.
