Chef Point Cafe is rolling our their gourmet concept with a food truck that's already popular with hungry fans.
Chef Point Cafe owners Paula and Frasun Nwaeze are taking their trademark gourmet food out of their Watauga gas station and to the streets. (See our initial report here).
Once a week -- on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- Chef Point On Wheels rolls up in front of Harris Hospital in Fort Worth.
Hungry hospital employees and fans of Chef Nwaezes' food who follow the truck's status on Facebook and Twitter line up in front of the white truck.
“I love their bread pudding. I had it once and have kept coming back for more,” said Chris Carlos as he waited for a big order to take back to co-workers.
Chef Nwaeze admits to cooking on his truck “for fun,” but the talented chef with an infectious smile and calm demeanor has another serious reason for rolling out.
A portion of proceeds from the food truck’s sales is donated to Meals On Wheels.
“It’s always great to have support within the community … we’re always needing donations, especially so in this tough economic time,” said Meals On Wheels representative Denis Harris.
Here is a list of the delicious options that have tongues wagging, er, we mean salivating for Chef Point On Wheels:
