Del Frisco's Grille, a casual alternative to the formal Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, is now open inside the remodeled One McKinney Plaza in Uptown. This is the second "Grille" location following the successful opening in Rockefeller Center in New York City.
The newest addition to the Uptown scene is destined to be a hot spot for those looking to for an upscale place to dine and/or a cool place to hang out. The downstairs dining area features a bar and a large glass wine room.
The starters menu features "Foods to Fight Over" including Lollipop Chicken Wings, NOLA BBQ Shrimp and Asian Chicken Dumplings. "Two-Fisted Sandwiches" include a Shaved Prime Steak Sandwich and the Grille Prime Cheeseburger with double meat. "From the Sea" includes Chicken Fried Shrimp and Bay of Fundy Salmon. The "Knife & Fork" section features veal meatloaf and a mesquite grilled pork chop.
But let's get serious, when I hear "Del Frisco's," I am thinking about steak. Their signature steaks have their own section on the menu highlighted by filet mignon, prime ribeye, prime delmonico and prime New York strip.
The second floor is home to a cool bar area that features the rooftop patio with a great view of the vibrant Uptown corridor. The cocktail list is ideal for its desired clientele with the Cosmo Skinny, Uptown Hottie and the VIP. Shots include the H.O.T.D. and Honey Badger. There is also a large variety of sparkling, white and red wines.
Del Frisco's Grille is open for lunch and dinner during the week and features bunch on the weekend.
