FGI Winner Prashe Hosts Winter Sale

Local star Prahse Shah hosts her label's 50% off sale this weekend

Local label Prashe is already a sensation; fresh off winning their first FGI Award, the line - helmed by FIT grad Prashe Shah - isn't just resting on their substantial cred. Spring 2011 is already available in their showroom (we like the printed-cotton tunics perfect alone or over a bikini, by the way) and they're hosting a don't-miss-it sale on the Winter collections this Friday and Saturday. All pieces will be 50% off both days, and it's a good thing, as it's impossible to choose just one favorite from their racks.

We adore the simple, layered-chiffon tunics with muted, gold trim; they're great now with jeans and boots, and paired with abbreviated skirts for Spring. A bronze, woven silk cocktail dress and embellished, sienna velvet jacket that's cropped perfectly also caught our eye.

Lastly, don't miss the stunning skirts made of fabrics recycled from saris; our pick is a navy, 6-paneled version with gold beading and paillettes and a flirty hem. Each skirt is one-of-a-kind, which makes owning one even more special.

In addition to their awesome apparel, Prashe also carries jewelry and handbags with a multi-cultural aesthetic; those are on sale too. See the gallery for our top finds; all prices listed in captions reflect the full - not sale - pricing.

Shop Prashe at their showroom, 13645 Welch Road; they'll be open on Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 11am to 5pm.
