Want to be a hip chick, or at least rock your chic jeans like one? Then plan on shopping new Dallas-based denim label, Hip Chix, at Blues Jeans Bar in Snider Plaza.
Craving the perfect pair of jeans for Fall? Check out newly launched denim label, Hip Chixs, available at Blues Jeans Bar in University Park. We caught up with the Dallas-based founders of Hip Chix recently, and we're lucky enough to snag the inside scoop straight from Aimee Miller and Megan Carreker as they prepped for the debut of their collection.
What or who are inspired the creation of your label, Hip Chixs? "Recent work by Valentino and Rachel Zoe has been awesome, and we always appreciate the personal style of people like Rachel Bilson, Alexa Chung, Margherita Missoni, and Olivia Palermo."
What's your personal biggest denim dilemma and how do your designs meet the challenge? "Our personal denim dilemma is really stiff and heavyweight denim, not comfortable to wear! We also crave jeans with great pocket placement, but we typically find jeans to have bad pocket placement and odd sizes of the back pockets. So, our fabric is … very light weight, which is key for Texas girls. The back pockets are slightly angled to make your backside more trim, and we've hidden a specialized waistband that keeps the jeans from sliding down in back – something most women want but simply cannot find!"
Any favorite pairs from you inaugural collection? "We love the 'Straight and Narrow' and 'Skinny Bootie.' The 'Straight and Narrow' is perfect for sexy, tall boots and a sweater in the fall, and the 'Skinny Bootie' looks amazing with your favorite cowboy boots and flats. We also adore the soft enzyme wash and the vintage wash, with a hints of grey and brown."
Where can Dallas's stylish set shop Hip Chixs? "We are thrilled to launch our line at the Blues Jeans Bar! And we're are also hoping to expand the line throughout Texas soon."
