Every third Thursday of the month, the folks at Gardens in the West Village throw open their doors for a big ol’ party they like to call Neighborhood Night. According to store manager Kevin Brown, these regular events are “a venue for fun, networking and having a good time” as well as introducing new products and designers at this stylish Uptown offshoot of a longtime Austin fave.

Tomorrow’s Neighborhood Night is no exception to the rule, as guests will be treated to an exclusive fashion show featuring the designs of mau Conceptual Clothing. A recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, mau takes green design one step further by re-purposing surplus and industrial materials in striking raincoats and dresses unlike any you’ve ever seen. These stunning works have been showcased in the Smithsonian and in London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, and now they’re available right here in Big D only at Gardens.

Neighborhood Night guests will also enjoy wine and refreshments, including the mouthwatering creations of Wiseman House Chocolates. When you go, be sure and also check out Gardens’ tempting collection of furniture, pottery, glassware and gifts – green thumb not required.
