Black tie season has arrived in Dallas; annual benefit events like Two x Two, Bubbly Q, Crystal Charity Ball, and Escapade are upon us in a matter of weeks. The big question is, of course, what will you be wearing to all that social fabulous-ness? We checked out retailers from Neiman Marcus to Target to find the very pretty for a very good price.

The best-buy winners are: a purple, one-shoulder look from Dillard's for $178 with gorgeous draping; an incredibly of-the-moment nude gown from Overstock.com for $69.99; and an ultra-luxe brown and cream chiffon gown by BCBG from Clotheshorse Anonymous for $103. (See these picks and others in our gallery)

Other honorable mentions include: a red, ruched one-shoulder look for $58.99 from Overstock.com; a black, long-sleeved dress with lace cutouts by 2BRych from Neiman Marcus for $275; and a black, crystal encrusted gown available at Dillard's for $140.

A dressed up look requires major accessories, and jewelry from Shopcerulean.com will keep you within budget. Unbelievably cool earrings in brushed, stamped gold are just $15 and -- our favorite -- a statement, bib necklace with black geodes is on-sale now for $10. Shopcerulean.com might sound too good to be true, but you'd be wrong.

Don't overspend on bags or clutches either. Crazy-good designs are available at Piperlime.com for as little as $30. Our loves are the pale pink, leather rosette clutch for $59 and neutral, satin heels by Nine West for $44.97.

See the gallery for all the photos, then get busy planning your outfits for Dallas' high season.
