- You've likely heard Hellogoodbye if you listen to KISS-FM, but don't hold that against them. Their show is at The Door in Dallas Monday at 9 pm. Take your kid sister.
- TV on the Radio plays the Lakewood Theater Tuesday at 8 pm. We like them because they make us dance. To see if they have the same effect on you, here's their MySpace.
- Did you know Jessie Baylin is engaged to one of the Kings Of Leon? Perhaps at their Wednesday night show at the Palladium you can mention that to someone.
- Winds of Plague sounds like one of those bandnames generated by a script like this. They are playing with Danzig, though, so I guess they've got credibility. This concert might be the best Halloween show until the day after. Thursday at 8 pm, Palladium.
- Tony Bennett plays the Meyerson for two nights - Monday and Tuesday - and shows off his impressive repertoire. That's French for good songs.
- Some will go for her crooning, some will go for the swooning over how hot she is, but Carrie Underwood will be in Grand Prairie on Thursday and you can buy your tickets here.

- Dickie's 500 is Nov. 2 -- so stay off I-35W or 114 for three days. We're not kidding. Or you could camp out ahead of time and get great seats to see REO Speedwagon who'll open the race.
