Get a little British with this weekend's events in comedy, sports, and music from across the pond.

GRAIL IN GRAPEVINE: Whilst we do our silly walks from cubical to cubical singing the Lumberjack Song to our parrot that's not dead yet, we're intrigued and amused by the possibility of watching Monty Python's Life of Brian plus The Holy Grail, outdoors in Grapevine during their Monty Python Madness event. Of course, if you don't want to wait until 8:30 p.m. for those screenings, you could get into the spirit by attending an argument clinic, taking your photo with a lumberjack or viking, or participate in a costume contest. For more details, head to their official website, and if you're not a Flying Circus fan, most of this post has left you confused.

GOOOOOOOAL!: Chelsea FC of England takes on Club America of Mexico in another weekend soccer match in Jerryworld. We're hoping all the DFW Brits get out to the field so we can hear some mid-level manager scream "Tackle the ball, you ninny!" after downing one pint past his limit. 6 p.m. Sunday in Arlington.

SKANK YOU VERY MUCH: During our halcyon high school days, Ska was the stuff the non-punk-rockers liked so they could feel underground. Still, the "upbeat, happy reggae," as one misinformed parent used to call it, is a fun beat to dance to -- scratch that, The English Beat is fun to dance to. Catch them with Reel Big Fish at the Palladium on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Then, try to guess which of those bands were bigger in our high school days...
