Greenz, salads for Z' adventurous -- It's a tropical fiesta in a bowl: crisp romaine topped with coconut-encrusted shrimp, sweet mango salsa, tortilla chips, and drizzled with the sweet heat of our spicy, tangy habanero-lime vinaigrette
Starting Friday -- and running through Sunday -- Addison breaks out their annual Taste Addison food and entertainment festival in Addison Circle Park.
The festival features food from 55 of Addison's most popular restaurants, cooking demonstrations, and live music -- including hit-makers Train, who's "Hey, Soul Sister" is our current Radio Kryptonite (you know, that song that makes us instantly turn off the FM dial). They perform Sunday night.
New at this year's fest, "Taste: The Competition," will feature 17 partcipating restaurants competiting for your vote -- and the approval of a panel of judges including Food Network star Ted Allen. (See entries in the gallery on the left hand side)
Tickets are $5 for adults before 5 p.m., then $15 anytime after. Additional information is available online at www.addisontexas.net.
