Six Flags Over Texas demolished the Texas Chute Out parachute ride to make way for a 400-foot swing.

The towering Texas Chute Out has toppled.

Six Flags Over Texas imploded the 200-foot-tall ride Wednesday afternoon.

Per request from the City of Arlington, a specific time for the implosion was not announced ahead of the actual detonation.

Six Flags Over Texas President Steve Martindale, who was in attendance, said the implosion went as planned.

Park reps say over 29 million riders have taken the plunge on the parachute drop since it opened in 1976.

The ride closed on Sept. 3 of this year after Six Flags announced plans to replace it with a new ride, Texas SkyScreamer.
