Sigels is Sign of the Times

It's almost as popular as the famous Pegasus Sign in downtown Dallas.

The funky, retro and colorful Sigel's Liquor store sign on the corner of Lemmon and Inwood is coming down.

"It's always hard to let a landmark go, you know, especially in the city of Dallas," said Elizabeth Behrens, of Dallas.

The sign has been up since the mid 1950s. The area will be redeveloped, and the new plans don't include an old sign.

The store owners hope to put it up in another location, but nothing is guaranteed.

"I just heard about it yesterday, and so I thought I'd come by and say bye to it," said Steve Bonds, of Dallas.
