Organizers of the Western Days Festival in Lewisville hope some big-name musical acts will attract a big crowd.

Waco-native Pat Green will headline the event on Sept. 24.  He'll be joined by the Josh Abbot Band, who will kick off the festival on Sept. 23.

Aside from music, attendees can visit arts and crafts stands, see a gunfight re-enactment and even watch, or take part in, a tamale-eating contest. Yum.

There's a petting zoo, face painters and playland for the younger cowpokes.

The Denton County music festival is free, but you'll still need a ticket to get in.  Tickets can be printed on the Western Days Festival website.
