Old 97's to Play Fort Worth Botanic Garden

Festival runs on weekends from June 1 to July 4

The Old 97's will perform for the Fort Worth Botanic Garden's 22nd annual "Concerts in the Garden" music festival during their opening weekend.

The festival runs on weekends from June 1 through July 4, with 17 nights of outdoor concerts in the garden in all different genres.

Trombone Shorty (June 1), The Old 97's (June 2), and A Tribute to Elvis with Kraig Parker (June 3) are the opening weekend acts. The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, who is organizing the concerts, says they're planning performances of music by John Williams and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture -- which should go great with the fireworks shows that end each night's performances.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. each night during the festival, with performances beginning at 8:15 p.m. Tickets start at $16 and are on sale now at the Symphony's official webpage.
